Bêrîvan and Helîn are two sisters living in the Sur district of Diyarbakır. Bêrîvan cultivates an interest for photography and video. While Bêrîvan shoots images of life around her, Helîn spends her time with her cat Nokê. Suddenly, the authorities announce a blockade will apply in the district of Sur… The blockade is forcing people to leave the area, but Bêrîvan and Helîn continue their daily activities of bringing food to their fathers. However one day, Helîn’s cat disappears. The cat’s disappearance creates tension between the two sisters. Bêrîvan is trying to cope with her obligation to leave Sur and the difficulties of becoming a grown up. She will reclaim her disrupted life and her memory.

Director’s Bio

Dilan Toftik was born in 1994, in Batman. She received primary and secondary education in Batman. She studied cinema at Cigerxwîn Art Academy in 2012.
She started working at the Middle East Cinema Association in 2013. She contributed to various film projects. She took part in several festival committees such as Yılmaz Güney Kurdish Short Film Festival in Batman, Akhtamara Film Festival in Van, and Film Amed Documentary Film Festival in Diyarbakır.
She worked as an assistant director in the movie 14 July. She continued her cinema work at Yapım 13 (Production 13) in Istanbul, in 2016. She has been working as an editor in TV programs at Eva Production since 2019.
