Director’s Bio

Ever since I was 8 years old, my parents have taken me to the cinema every week, igniting within me a profound desire to become a part of the captivating world of the silver screen. At 17, I took a part-time jobs as a wedding videographer, and I instantly falling in love with the art of cinematography. Throughout my academic pursuits, I crafted numerous short films, focusing on capturing the essence of the Chinese diaspora and various aspects of Asian culture. For me, art is a reflection of life, transcending boundaries, bridging gaps, and breaking barriers.
At the age of 15, I moved to Adelaide, where my life unfolded as an international student, an immigrant, and eventually, a Chinese- Australian. Fuelled by my passion, I’ve been honoured to have a thriving career, running Take Two Media in Adelaide.
As a director/ cinematographer working in the commercial and corporate space, I have won multiple awards from the Australian Cinematography Association. I also recently became a committee member of the ACS SA chapter, taking on range of responsibilities to facilitate connecting emerging cinematographers and filmmakers to the industry.
