Aibota Kali is a filmmaker from Almaty, Kazakhstan. She graduated from Turan Film Academy in Film Directing and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in the same field. Her work explores female adolescence, religious conservatism, and loneliness through a visually driven narrative style. Her short films have been screened at local and international festivals and film clubs. She is currently developing her debut feature film and is interested in international co-production and women’s cinema networks.
